Making a Nomination
A nomination has two core elements:
- The reasons for the nomination (max 500 words)
(what’s special about the nominee and their work)* - Support for the nomination (max 500 words)
(testimonials from colleagues, prisoners/detainees etc)
[* if the nomination follows an initial recommendation from someone else, include a summary of it here]
While you can save a part-completed nomination and come back to it later, you might want to start collecting some testimonials together, and thinking about what to put under “Reasons for the nomination”, before you go any further.
You can find some example nominations on our recent winners page (opens in a new tab).
And for more guidance on how to draft a nomination, try our AI tool (opens in a new tab).
Finally, while we hope the whole process is fairly straightforward, do get in touch if you need to.
