AWARD WINNER 2020-21: A Prison Officer for over 30 years, and described as a “remarkable individual” and “an inspiration to the men”, Ricardo is granted an Award in recognition of his unflagging commitment to rehabilitation, and in particular his creative approach to addressing knife crime and gang-related violence, at HMP Pentonville. [This Award is supported by MTC.]

AWARD WINNER 2020-21: Described by the Governor as “a real asset” and “one of the best”, Daljinder is granted an Award for all-round excellence as an Officer at HMP Woodhill, in particular for the encouragement and support offered to his colleagues, and his skill in managing especially challenging and vulnerable prisoners. [This Award is supported by the Prison Officers Association.]

COMMENDEE 2020-21: Jose’s Commendation is for his tireless work, as a Lecturer at HMP/YOI Pentonville, to help change prisoners’ lives, for which he is widely respected, by prisoners and staff, throughout the establishment.

COMMENDEE 2020-21: Kenny is part of the Environmental Group at HMP/YOI Woodhill, and is Commended for the exuberance and positivity he shows in everything he does, and the positive impact he has on prisoners, staff, and the prison environment.

COMMENDEE 2020-21: COMMENDEE 2020-21: Brendan is Commended, as an Officer at HMP Coldingley, for his excellent jailcraft, unfaltering dedication, and selfless care and support for both prisoners and staff; as well as being “an absolute joy to work with”.

COMMENDEE 2020-21: Mick’s Commendation is for his outstanding character and professional qualities, as an Officer at HMP Isle of Wight, and for helping deliver diversity and Veterans-based initiatives in the jail to the highest level.
