This year’s Ruth Mann and Kathy Biggar Trophies, for notable practice in custodial and community settings, respectively, go to: HMP Brixton, for their “Creating Green Spaces” initiative; and Bradford YJS, for their “Weapons Awarness Violence Reduction” programme.
The other two finalists for the Ruth Mann Trophy were: HMP Dovegate’s “Restart Dogs” dog-training programme; and the prisoner-led “Expectations Hub” (focusing on the jail’s performance against HMIP standards) at HMP Ranby. The other Kathy Biggar Trophy finalists were: PBNI’s “Graffiti Removal Service”; and Dudley YOS’s “Out of Court Assessment Tool”the “Parent Champions” programme.
